- Google Officially Hits Its 100% Renewable Energy Target – “Google’s total renewable energy purchases actually exceeded the amount of electricity the company used in its operations last year, including its offices and 15 data centers located across the globe.”
- The Colombian Amazon Is Now a ‘Person’, and You Can Thank Actual People – “The Colombian Supreme Court ruled Thursday that theColombian government must create a plan to combat deforestation in theAmazon, as well as climate change impacts in the country overall.”
- World’s first electrified road for charging vehicles opens in Sweden – “Energy is transferred from two tracks of rail in the road via a movable arm attached to the bottom of a vehicle.”
- A Grass-Roots Movement For Healthy Soil Spreads Among Farmers – “‘When I started doing this stuff—really doing this stuff—five years ago, you had to go a state away to find people farming in a similar way,’ Ficke says. Perhaps the most famous soil health pioneer is a farmer named Gabe Brown, in North Dakota. ‘Those people are all over now,’ Ficke says. ‘You can find someone like that every few miles.'”
